Vermentino that sees texture and complexity as calling cards, and not an attempt at Another Dry White Wine. Brilliant release. Reinventing Clare Valley one wine at a time. Younger generation brother duo doing so good. What a wine! Succulent, fine boned, lightly juicy, green apple and quince flavours, scents of potpourri, ripe apple and ginger. Flavours are drawn ultra long on that gloss of texture then finish with a powdery puff of talc and light pleasing bitterness. It's a wine of finesse but also a wild streak. It's awesome.

Hand harvested and sorted in vineyard. Destemmed retaining ~ 50% whole berries. No whole bunch. Natural ferment in open top steel fermenters, hand plunged twice daily. 3 weeks on skins. Free run and pressings combined. Settled off gross lees for 7 days. Matured in stainless steel tank for 7 months.

This is the Koerner brothers' take on the famed Cabernet Malbec blend from the Clare Valley. There are many who believe that these two varieties are the region's best suited and the Koerners certainly make a bold case for it here.

The fruit from their Gullyview Vineyard was picked for freshness coming in at an astonishingly low 12.5% ABV. Though power was not sacrificed, the intensity and depth of flavour here is a regional marvel. A much more traditional wine here from the Koerners, albeit with their own twist. Quality and longevity were certainly front of mind when they brought this to bottle. This is their finest wine to date and something that should live a long and distinguished life for a decade or two to come.

Free run and pressings combined. Settled off gross lees for 7 days. Aged in Slavonian and French Demi-muid for 10 months, then racked to steel for 2 months.

Crunchy, pure-hearted Sangiovese from an organic Clare Valley vineyard.

Tangy red fruits are on display, cherry and cranberries mostly, with a lifted herbal, peppery feel. Tannins are soft and approachable - this a beautifully drinkable expression of Sangiovese.

"Quite edgy, perky, crisp, slightly mentholated over red berries, sweet peppery spice, paprika, a little meaty edge. Juicy sort of feel, frisky, yet a sheath of fine tannin holds things to account. Damon and Jonothan Koerner are exploring a new face of the Clare Valley. Looking at working with sustainable growers, making wines with little interference and diving into a world of new varieties for the region.

Here's a new kid on the Clare Valley block. Sciaccarello (Shak-ar-ello) is an Italian red skinned grape, originating from Corsica. It's known for being perfumed, vibrant and rarely seen as a solo variety, traditionally blended away.

Here the Koerners make it sing. It's a light bodied red with serious charisma.

Frisky and fresh feeling with a unique vibe, curious wine drinkers looking for interesting light bodied reds should walk this way. Only 390 dozen made.
