Josh Cooper is taking some of regional Victoria's best sustainable and organic/biodynamic vineyards and putting them on show. This, the Doug's Vineyard Pinot Noir, is a beautiful depiction of the finesse and detail that gentle winemaking can create given the right fruit. A small vineyard in the Macedon Ranges, vines only 20 or so years old and producing phenomenal fruit, a young winemaker at the top of his game.
"A tough year for Macedon in 2020 but a silver lining for Joshua Cooper and family was getting their own piece of dirt to which they will close-plant vines. The site is half way between Daylesford and Kyneton some 600 metres above sea level and looking over Virgin Hills estate, a winery that I know forms part of Josh’s inspiration for wines and winemaking. Anyway, this is pinot from Doug’s place.A curious wine in that it’s 12% alcohol and feels more like 14% or thereabouts, Quite thick set, broad shouldered, dense and dark. The perfume shows ripe plum, pickled cherries, old spice cupboard, smoked paprika aromas and some mulchy green herb in the mix. Flavours are richer and dark fruited, shows with malt-extract notes and thick tannin layers on palate and tongue. Acidity is cool in this, the wine deeply savoury and brooding in fruit character. That dark fruit rolls long and the finish is complete with smoked paprika and a light mocha note that turns a little sooty. We offer FREE delivery (single location only) for purchases over HK$2,500.
For orders under HK$2,500, a delivery charge of HK$300 shall apply.
The delivery service is available on Tuesday only.
Delivery service will be suspended when typhoon signal No.8 or above or a black rain warning is hoisted. In this event, customers will be contacted to re-schedule the delivery time.
We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee if the recipient is not available to accept the delivery at the given delivery time and delivery needs to be rescheduled.
