Gareth & Rainbo were both marine scientists, with PhD in phycology, who turned their hands to farming grapes with an organic and sustainable approach. Today they are crafting some of the most legitimately exciting and exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Adelaide Hills and are firmly rooted in the upper echelon of Australia's lo-fi winescene. Their wines cover multiple sub-regions across the Adelaide Hills. There are no additions during the winemaking process, save for a solash of SO2 at bottling to keep the wines pristine as they travel from the Beltons home to yours. The worlds of fine wine and natural wine collide in the Gentle Folk range.

Old vine Chardonnay from the heart of Piccadilly, where the wines are renowned for their power and flair. No doubt about it with this wine, it’s all lemon citrus, melons, ripe fruit and impressive acid…a complete package and the reason this part of the Hills is often referred to as the “Grand Cru” section.

Whole bunches were crushed and pressed into to tank for settling overnight before racking off solids to barrel. The wine spent 11 months in French oak, 30% new, before racking to tank for three months and bottled.

For orders under HK$2,500, a delivery charge of HK$300 shall apply.

The delivery service is available Tuesday & Wednesday.

3. Discovery Bay:

We offer FREE delivery (single location only) for purchases over HK$3,500.

For orders under HK$3,500, a delivery charge of HK$500 shall apply.

The delivery service is available on Thursday only.

Delivery service will be suspended when typhoon signal No.8 or above or a black rain warning is hoisted. In this event, customers will be contacted to re-schedule the delivery time.

Fruit from the Scary Gully vineyard in Adelaide Hills. 100% whole cluster pressed and settled in tank overnight. Racked to terracotta egg for nine months.

Gareth & Raingo take on the German Troken style - low alcohol with 10g/L residual sugar. Super fresh and delicious.

Gentle Folk “Monomeith” Pinot Noir 2023

One of the great and distinctive vineyards of the Adelaide Hills, and arguably the coolest. Monomeith sits in its own very cool valley on the top ridge of Ashton and the vines benefit from an east-west orientation, where part of the vineyard gets the morning sun and the other half the afternoon sun. This results in a wine with great depth, complexity and all the classic aromatics of great Pinot noir.

20% whole cluster open top fermentation for two to three weeks followed by 10 months in oak, 20% new, before racking to tank for three months and bottled.

Here’s something fresh and exciting from Gentle Folk’s 2023 release—their very first single-vineyard, premium Sangiovese! Sourced from the highest and rockiest section of the Turnbull Vineyard in Charleston, these meticulously farmed 26-year-old vines have finally allowed Gareth Belton to fulfil his dream of crafting a site-specific Sangiovese. And what a debut it is!

100% destemmed open top fermentation for two weeks before closing the lid and sealing for two more months. Basket pressed to a 1000L terracotta amphora and a new 228L French oak barrel for 10 months before bottling.
