⚠️ Ten Minutes NOT like you know it… Some mistakes make beautiful things sometimes ! A very unique expression of this vineyard, and we love it ! A bit on the wild side with still some carbonic bringing the wine to a new level😉

The Coolart Road vineyard is the earliest picked of the Ten Minutes by Tractor vineyards and typically produces a more fleshy wine.

Made from the MV6 clone in D block on Coolart Road Vineyard this sultry perfumed Pinot Noir displays dark cherry, bramble and earthy notes that is beautifully rounded out by the chewy and grippy tannins. The rich palate keeps giving in the glass now and will in the bottle for some time.

Vintage...

The 2018 vintage was a big contrast to the 2017 vintage; in fact, it was very similar to 2016. The 2018 vintage began with heavier than normal winter rains and cooler temperatures which delayed budburst but warmer spring weather resulted in perfect conditions for flowering leading to very good fruit set and promising high yields. Grapes matured with optimum sugar, flavour and tannin development resulting in high quality parcels from all sites. It was our third earliest harvest, leading to our shortest ever hang time.

• 20% whole bunches • 30 days on skins in concrete • following pressing, the wine was transferred to 17% new 228 litre French oak barrels for 11 months • natural malolactic fermentation before bottling unfined and with minimal filteration

Alert UFO 🚨 1 barrel bottled, only 300 bottles of this stunning Pinot Noir from the unique terroir of Ballarat. Just a few bottles made it to HK !

This cuvée is sourced from the original 1989 plantings of Pinot Noir - MV6 & Morillon Clones (Morillon
Clone is vine material sourced from Best’s original Pinot Noir vineyard a Swiss clone).
Only one barrel has been kept seperate, meaning there’s only a mere 22 dozen produced of this wine
produced. Each vintage we always keep each individual block seperate through fermentation & élevage, it's always an important & fascinating experience to see the differences between each block as they go through the different stages. Harvested on the 1/4/22, all destemmed into one open concrete 3000L fermenter, spontaneous fermentation via our indigenous yeast, pump overs once a day, basket pressed 12/04/2022, transferred into 228L barriques of various coopers, topped monthly, sulphur added post malo in November, racked from barrels in late march 2023 no fining or filtering, bottled on 3/10/23. A small amount of sulphur post malo & pre bottling.

Joshua Cooper "Doug's Vineyard" Pinot Noir 2023

Doug’s Vineyard is situated on the outskirts of the township of Romsey in the Macedon Ranges. Owned by the Newnham family, it was planted 20 years ago to predominantly MV6 and smaller amounts of 114 and 115 clone pinot noir.

A cool hamlet, the vines sit at around 500m altitude, atop a North and North East facing hillside on red rocky volcanic basalt soil, moderating vigour and providing amazing intensity to the fruit, ripening small, beautifully formed clusters at low sugar levels.

Once hand harvested in the cool of morning, with careful sorting in the vineyard, grapes were transferred to open fermenter with 20% as whole bunches and the remainder de-stemmed. The must was then allowed to soak 4-5 days at its cool ambient temperature until fermentation commenced. Thereafter the grapes were gently extracted by a combination of pumping over and pigeage by foot.

The wine was then pressed after a total of three weeks on skins and transferred to two new (Laurent “Magic Cask” thick stave, blonde toast) seven young (2-4yo Laurent “Magic Cask”) and ten old (6-10yo) oak Burgundian piece for lees ageing for 12 months, followed by four months in stainless steel on fine lees before racking and bottling, unfined and unfiltered. The only addition to the wine is a small dose of sulphur.

Pale ruby. Classical and very typical of Doug’s Vineyard, a very elegant and ethereal release.

Fragrant and subtle with raspberry, and red cherry fruits complexed by sous bois and the typical exotic spice of Doug’s Vineyard. Structured by silky tannin and fresh acidity and offering great charm in its youthful vigour, medium term aging or decanting will greatly reward.

Perfume and spice dance around licorice, cumquat and lavender notes that are expressed willingly in the glass. The fine mineral tannins groove the palate and complete a well structured and enjoyable wine, typical of ‘Up the Hill’.

Lethbridge "Mietta" Pinot Noir 2017

Outstanding concentration. Deep, inset spice. Meat, intense dark cherry, violet, velvet, polished cedarwood. Mannered but spunky. Curls of smoky tannin. Lots going on. Unfurls beautifully as it rests in the glass. Gun of a wine.

From vines yielding less than 1 tonne/acre, 100% whole bunch, natural yeast ferment,100% new oak. An unusual presentation of the MV6 clone in the Estate vineyard produces fruit of great density of flavour, and very low yield (0.5 tonnes/acre). This wine was fermented with 100% whole bunch inclusion and had pre-fermentation maceration for 7-10 days. Wild yeast fermentation in small open vats proceeded with daily pigéage. Pressing was straight to barrel (100% new French oak) to allow for gross lees contact and natural MLF. A powerful and structural Pinot Noir.

Lethbridge Pinot Noir 2018

It’s an out-and-out ripper. Smoky, bunchy, well-fruited, dense, finessed, so many things. Powerful lines delivered with grace. It’s excellent throughout
but the finish has that extra something.

Sourced from four single vineyards in Geelong, two in the Moorabool Valley (Hillside Haven & Springbank) and two from the Bellarine (Hat Rock &
Suma Park). All fruit was hand-picked and fermented separately to keep the individual vineyard characters distinct. Each parcel was treated the same; wild yeast fermented with around 40% whole bunches. The wine was then matured
for 10 months in 40% new French oak barriques. After rigorous tastings we blended the wines to create this wonderful Pinot Noir in the Lethbridge style.

The wines of Merricks are amongst, if not the best, wines of the Mornington Peninsula. They have an arresting balance between vibrant aromatics, silky smooth palate and firm refreshing tannins. The palest of the three wines, the 2017 Merricks displays a bright crimson edge and lifted raspberry and cranberry notes. The palate has a silky feel with very fine tannins and refreshing acidity.
